Finally in Dalian!!!

Finally getting to mi update....got on the internet and made 2 phone calls, and then couldn't get back on.... the front desk had to come change out the wires when mi come back from dinner, so now hopefully this one keep working.....

Arrived at Dalian about 10:10 am..... prepared for my trip through custom, but surprisingly, it was nothing like going through customs at Jamaica... Had to fill out declaration of health paper...and also custom form, which i got all the way to the customer officer without the custom form... Of course he just dismissed me with the wave of his hand...lol.... Another officer took me to the forms.... Collected my suitcase, and went right through door, where my coworker and driver were anxiously waiting.....
Driving to the Inn Fine reminded me of Jamaica...a lot like driving downtown, like going to Port Royal.... nuff roundabout... place is really nice and not too different from Jamaica....just the signs in Chinese.....
The aprt not ready for 3 more days, so staying in a regular room...which is really nice... Get this...the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a mirrored wall...so yes, i can see EVERYTHING and anyone in the bathroom...lol.....
Went to dinner with a few coworkers.....at Edy's....where u get all the American food u want.... My coworker had enchilladas (Mexican), two had pizzas...and i had a.... Philly cheesesteak!!!.... lol...The owner is chinese, but spent quite a number of years in Canada and the US...so any American food you want, he is ready to make it....
Forgot to mention earlier that i dined at MacDonalds in Korea, and it was no different from the US.... but then again, i just had pancakes and sausage... I met this Asian girl on the way to Macdonalds... We were both heading to the food court, and when i got off the elevator, i made a right to go check out the Korean and Japanese restaurant and she said, MacDonalds is this way and that's your best bet, as it's too early to be eating Kimchi...that's spicy Korean, which it look like everything fi dem is spicy, regardless of the time of day.... Needless to say, when we got to MacDonalds, it was only us, and when we left, it was a full house....I guess everybody else knew MacDonalds was their safest bet....
Tomorrow i need to go on the road to get sneakers, as it was warm in the day, but the temperature dropped like a good 10 degrees, so mi sandals not going to hit it.....i hear it's different levels of knockoffs of everything, so mi hoping to get some converse, not necessarily the real thing, but a pair where the bottom won't drop off when mi walking.....lol
I still haven't gotten the money down yet.... i think my coworker said just divide the cost by 7 and that will give me the american equivalent.... tomorrow i will test out mi knowledge....and yes, cash is golden here...not a soul fart pon u and u credit card.....
I think mi been up a good 24 hours now, so when mi hit the bed, mi hope mi nuh wake up no time soon.... mi even get a sleeping pill fi help me through the jet lag.....

ALmost there

Finally in Seoul Korea...after 1 hour flight to LA...2 hour layover...then 13 hour flight......Surprising i didn't stick out as much as i thought in the sea of Asians.....maybe cause i couldn't understand if they were talking about me...lol..... I didn't have the window seat as American Express corp travel assured me everyday i called, but the ticket agent gave me an isle seat, in the last row of the plane, which was great, as I was close to the bathroom and the kitchen, and even had extra room to stretch out and put my bags...

The tv screens in the headrest for the seat in fron t of me, showed the path the plane was flying, the places it was passing, the hours to get to my destination, the current time at my destination, and the current time from my place of departure.... so i spent 13 hours watching that instead of regular tv...actually, when i wasn't sleeping or doing my puzzle.....The only names that rung a bell was Tokoyo and the Pacific Ocean... everything else was greek to me...

FOr dinner, I had my choice of somethiing beef and something else...I choose beef...Turns out itw as Bi-Bim-Bab,....looked like ground beef surrounded by shreddded carrots, thinly sliced look like cucumbers, some chinese looking shoots and another vegetable. THe package has a tube of pepper paste, and another package of oil. The instructions were to mix the paste and oil with the meat and vegetable, and then mix in the white steamed rice.... It tasted ok, but i just couldn't get over the taste of cold meat with warm rice... Thank God I had some bun and cheese and fruits in my bag....

Breakfast was another adventure, but i took the safe way out and opted for omelette and not spicy octopus... WIth the omelette, i had ham, hashbrown, lowfat yogurt (i see they got the weight watcher meal plan), fruits and tea.... not bad...But i did finish off the other 1/2 of the bun and cheese with it....

Must say i love the stewardess uniform.... tan skirt suits, with floral scarf, tan pantihose, shoes...they all wear the same shoes, and everyone's hair is pulled back in one...in a neat bun....Everyone looked so uniformed.....and loved that they spoke English so well.....

Just called mom and Kelsea on the magic jack....connection breaking up...so i guess i will give it a rest for now... It's now 7 am and the designer stores about to open up...so mi gone check out COach, Burberry, Louis, and whatever else them have.... fi kill the next 2.5 hours......
