Spa Day

9:30 am, and the driver was right on time...off to the massage parlour we went...The girls were all young, all dressed in pink and gray uniforms (jogging suit, loungewear kinda) and all giggles....at the sight of this black woman, and the hair...very pretty, pretty hair...if only they knew...lol....2 hours of full body massage...$30 later....ahhhh... I can see myself doing this weekly....Must remember to pay before trying to exit...or maybe i was just too relaxed... Next stop.... Jessica's...manicure and pedicure... One doing the pedicure, while the other doing the manicure. I am not getting used to this tea they serve everywhere u go...it looks more like hot water to me, and taste that way too...and I found out, if you hold it in your hand without drinking it, they assume it's too hot, so they pour cold water in it... Great, so the lukewarm water, is now room temperature water....and then they keep saying, drink tea, drink tea...yeeeeahhhh.....i just love drinking warm water....Matching fingers and toes, complete with flowers...onto lunch...

Lunch was hysterical, as i flipped through what looked like a photo catalog, putting me in the mind of a macdonalds cash register, i try to order a shrimp dish... There was so many pages, i couldn't find the shrimp section, and they weren't understanding the word 'shrimp'...Finally the driver takes out his phone and asks me to write the word...Lo and behold, as i typed each letter, the mandarin version appeared beneath..and the light bulb goes off...and they flip to the shrimp section..... now for fried rice.... you can only type one word at a time...so that was a little challenging.... Now i was getting adventurous...Diet coke.... everyone was stomped.... still not sure if they understood the chinese word for diet coke, but i do know this, there is no diet sodas...lol.... They even called for a well dressed gentleman...i am assuming the manager....Once i heard him say, excuse, Miss, May i help? I thought, oh, he speaks English well...actually, I think that was the extent of his English vocabulary...lol..... So i settled for the coke.... For $7, I had enough food to eat, and take home 3 containers, 2 of fried rice, and one of shrimp with peanuts....I am wondered if they thought i was feeding a small army....
